The first hurdle is breaking old habits. This module focuses on optimizing the Excel environment for keyboard-only navigation. Lesson 1: Unplugging the Rodent. The philosophy of speed, why the mouse actually slows you down, and committing to the "keyboard-only" pledge. Lesson 2: Ribbon Navigation (The Alt Key). How to read the Ribbon and use the Alt key to sequentially access any command in the software. Lesson 3: The Quick Access Toolbar (QAT). Customizing the QAT for the most frequent formatting tasks that lack native keyboard shortcuts. Lesson 4: Excel Settings for Speed.
